Pros (+) This was a great local hotel. The location could not have been better
Cons (-) I can't think of anything that could have been better
Pros (+) This is a wonderful property in great location in the old part of the city (less than 5 min from the castle). The welcome was lovely (offered wine and beer while we waited for our room), there was port wine in the room, and we were given a guide book as a present. The duplex room was lovely with wonderful views from the balcony. However, the best feature of all was the lovely staff - all we met we...
Cons (-) Nothing!

Pros (+) Positive experiences began before we left our house. I reached out via the Booking.com app to ask about airport transportation and got an immediate response. Even better was that more than one person responded to keep the thread going. A+ The property sits up in the hill an easy walk from Sao Jorge Castle. The views are spectacular and so many choices for nearby meals. We booked the breakfasts and...
Cons (-) No complaints … complaints, we have none.

Pros (+) I don’t even know where to start! Staying here was absolutely the highlight of our 3 week honeymoon. The location is unmatched. Some of the best coffee shops, restaurants and bars, as well as tourist attractions are all within walking distance. We stayed at the top floor suite, which was the best experience ever. The terrace with the panoramic view is so incredible, it was an experience in itself....
Cons (-) The room service came in once but we were still there and then they didn’t check in whether we needed out room cleaned when we left. So we didn’t get to experience a made bed & straightened out room upon return, but it didn’t impact how much we loved our stay.

Pros (+) Fabulous boutique hotel - our room had amazing views. It’s quite expensive but definitely worth it. Staff were wonderful - nothing was too much trouble
SDM is a 15-room boutique hotel that's well worth a visit! Its location is near the Castelo de Sao Jorge. The rooms are comfortable with contemporary bathrooms. The restaurant, La Terrasse, has outstanding views and food. Most importantly, the hotel and restaurant staff, especially Francois, were most helpful and friendly!
Pros (+) We stayed in the attic quite, which was surprisingly large and arranged perfectly, and from our patio, had immaculate views of the River, Christ the King, and the city as a whole. We got beautiful glimpses of sunset and sunrise, and the staff was super helpful and friendly, especially Francois. The onsite restaurant was convenient and had a roof top view of the city as well.
Cons (-) There is no lift at the property, so having a higher floor can be more of a hike, so be prepared. The staff will arrange to get luggage up and down however, so that is one thing you will not have to worry about. Also, because it is a historic area, Ubers, tours, etc., will have to meet you outside of the bollards (can only be accessed by local cars and taxis).
