Pros (+) We were there right at the end of the Christmas season and the whole place was done up. My daughter loved the decorations, the colors and lights, and the big model village right at the entrance. It just has such a comfortable vibe and it’s rich with history. Such a cool place! The staff were also amazing- friendly, helpful, professional, efficient- can’t say enough good things about them.
Pros (+) Charming hotel with beautiful victorian decor. We were there during Christmas season and the Christmas decorations were amazing and elaborate. Location was spectacular, just two min from japantown. Golden Gate Bridge, Chinatown, Fisherman's Wharf, and Ghirardelli Square are all within 15min from Hotel. Amazing location. Hotel parking is also conveniently located in next door open lot.
Cons (-) Hotel building is an older building so it comes with some whimsical mannerisms of older buildings.
Pros (+) Very interesting experience, especially during the holidays season! The hotel was decorated so neatly with all the Christmas ornaments and characters. It is very atmospheric place, we enjoyed it so much

Pros (+) A lovely hotel in a historic building, beautifully restored. The rooms and public areas have great charm. The staff are exceptionally helpful. The location is fantastic. Best area from which to explore different neighborhoods in San Francisco.
Cons (-) The WIFI connection in our room was weak and we had to connect in public areas; fortunately those areas were quiet and very comfortable. The room was comfortable but a a little awkwardly furnished.

Pros (+) When you walk in, you are completely engulfed in Victorian everything, including the elevator. The staff is personable and spends time with guests, letting everyone know what to do and where to go. The breakfast is well appointed with many choices. Tea, sherry, and cookies is such a delightful bonus. This is an affordable gem in downtown San Francisco.
Cons (-) This is a funny observation. In our bathroom was a vintage push-button telephone-from the 70s. I would find phones that match the decor. Like I said, not a criticism, just something fun that came across my thinking.
