I did not want a battery car the technology is not supported by infrastructure outside the city area I was travelling long distances to achieve what I wanted to do in the 5 days There was NO charging facility in Akaroa so could not tour to the areas I wanted to visit There was no instruction given on the app required to login to a charger once I found one that was comparable with the fitting on the car Charging took up to 3.5 hrs as the power supply in the rural areas could not support more than a 25 kw charger Only one charger at some locations so if someone was there before you you had to wait until they finished so lost more time and had to amend my travel plan again as overall I estimate I spent 20 plus hours either charging car or waiting in line for a charger I will never ever use one of these stupid electric vehicles again as you have no flexibility to travel where you want to how you want to when you want to The stupid vehicle ruined my holiday and left me very angry with your company and European over the whole fiasco especially given that Europcar help line was run from The Phillipines by people with poor English skills and absolutely no idea of the conditions in New Zealand The whole concept of using these vehicles for tourist who are freedom touting in a country with limited support infrastructure is stupid On one Charing station once I finally got it to work the estimated charging time was 3.4 hours to 80 percent it was a bloody joke
