It's always the case with this location that there is only one person working with customers, maybe two? There are other employees running around, but they're not helping customers. So it always takes us about 30+ min to even start the process of picking up the vehicle for which we have a reservation. It would be nice if pick-up could just be automated... there's no reason we shouldn't be able to do everything we need at a kiosk.

The pick up was no problem, the drop off however could have been a lot more professional and less intimidating. I was mildly berated for the sand in the drop off. I was told that I had to pay a $250 cleaning fee! I have been renting cars in Southern California for the past 30 years, always with sand. A further attempt to intimidate by telling me I only had a few minutes to decide the shadow was leaving and who know when another one was coming. I took it to a car wash around the corner. It took me less than five minutes.

The actual car was satisfactory…the actual pick up was unsatisfactory as there was no one to greet us although I saw other car rental places with actual names waiting for the people to rent cars. More than disappointing. and actually quite quite frustrating.

Despite renting the vehicle for only 3 days, the company placed a very large hold of $500 on my card, even though I already paid for two types of insurance coverage in advance. In addition to that, ACE charged an extra $44 for toll services, which I consider excessive and unjustified. What makes the situation worse is that the $500 hold is still not released up to this moment, causing unnecessary inconvenience and financial burden during my trip. This behavior feels unfair and exploits customers, and I respectfully request your support to investigate this matter and ensure that the held amount is released immediately, and that the extra charges are reviewed and refunded if appropriate
