Porsche car rentals in Tampa

I was very pleased with the unexpected SIGNIFICANT upgrade -- I originally had booked a convertible, expecting just a Mustang convertible, so you can only imagine how happy I was when I arrived at the counter and was upgraded to a relatively brand new BMW Z4 at the same rate! Even better, with the original reservation, I would have had to return the car the next day by 7:30PM to the Orlando Airport and be charged two days' rate (my pick up was at 5PM Saturday, needing to return by 7:30PM Sunday and otherwise see a MASSIVE rate hike from ~$150 to ~$600). However, because of the change in vehicles, I could return it on Monday by 5PM for the original rate of ~$150 at the hotel I was staying in, saving me a LOT of hassle. I imagine Sixt may have lost some money with my reservation, but a great experience from start to finish.for me!

Car was dirty and there was roaches on it, really disappointing, not to mention they didn't have the car when I arrived

Apart from the rental office being a few blocks from the Tampa airport, we could not have asked for a better experience. Great vehicle, great service, great price.

Excellent service

The agent at the counter told us we did not need a toll pass and we did. We went through one toll. I told them and they would not remove the FINE with the toll. For this reason, I will not rent from them again.

Nice car. Very rude employee in the garage (the one who gave me the key). No manners, and very rude.

nothing was explained to me , i waited an hour to get my car we did not walk around the car i had no clue how to work this car , there were strachs on the car , and they didnt tell me the drop off was worse , you just drop off the car and there is no one to help us , you just leave the keys in the car so in personal

I pre booked my car but upon arrival the Credit card machine wouldn’t read my card for the deposit. The person at the desk wasn’t willing to be helpful. So I went to Avis and rented because that person was able to be helpful.

I got exactly what I ordered. Hertz was organized and friendly.

They did not have any cars available to rent.

This location has the best staff. Fast, friendly, knowledgeable. What more do you want?

Don't list cars that aren't available and send an email in advance to not travel there just to realize that there is no car available.

Major issue is the Thrifty name is nowhere on the building. It was located inside a Hertz car rental. The address on the building was hard to read. Took over an hour to pick up my reservation. Drop off was just as bad. Seemed to be under staffed. Twice they tried to rent cars to people that needed repairs taking more time. During drop off they interrupted my transaction to send employee to pick up more cars. I tried to extend rental 1 more day and that day would have been over twice what my rental was per day.

The problem itself is not with the car rental company, but with the Kayak. I made the first reservation, however, with the wrong time, so the car rental company suggested that I make another reservation, which I did. I picked up a car and they charged me for 2. I'm waiting for a response to this.

There were literally hundreds of people in line because other rental car companies were out of cars. Thrifty agents were pleasant despite the crush of people, and a difficult situation went well. Amazing.

First, the rental was not ready, we had to wait about an hour to get a car. Second, they overcharged for an extra day after we dropped off the car in time. Although the time they entered as starting time was not the time we left with the rental. They stamped the time at 11:47pm but didn’t get the car until pass 12:30 am. So we had to go the office to get the 2nd day charge removed. Third, they now said the is a crack in the windshield, after 48 hours that we return the car.

Service desk and drop off were not helpful and really didn’t care about anything but selling you insurance when you pick up the vehicle. Also they didn’t have the vehicle I ordered and told me I would have to wait around 40 min to an hour and that was only if they could find one. The vehicle I got was nice but didn’t fit our stuff causing us to take two cars instead of one

Pick up was horrendous,, total chaos waited over 2 hours to be told I’d get a vehicle but not what we hired , this happened to all people waiting.. We actually got a similar car to the one booked so we thought we were luckier than others . Car was filthy dirty no option to sort we had to leave it’s now 4 am , we hadn’t left car park and clearly the vehicle with 42,000 miles had multiple faults and should have been in for repairs not out on hire …
